“Clay and gestures are loaded with potential. I’m trying to get away from the permanence of them.”
Victoria artist Tanya Doody intertwines
craftivist strategies, performative acts, and poetic gestures. During
her artist’s residency at Open Space, Doody will explore clay’s capacity
to document fleeting impressions, whether human communciation or
non-human histories.
