Ground Zero Printmakers at Xchanges Gallery

Ground Zero Printmakers @
Xchanges Gallery

"VICTORIA, INSIDE OUT"

Please join us for the opening reception on
Friday June 7th at 7pm

Victoria Inside Out looks at the theme of urban landscape through the mediums of printmaking, from the plein air sketch to the highly produced studio print.

Ground Zero local and regional artists will present work that explores the urban elements of their individual environments, whether in the Peace Region, the Gulf Islands, the Saanich Peninsula or downtown Victoria.

Victoria Inside Out offers the opportunity to experience the hand pulled print in different ways; framed and on the wall, as part of hand crafted albums, and as individual works on paper handled by the viewer.

The inspiration and kernel for this exhibition is the Ground Zero Visions of Victoria album. Produced to mark Victoria’s 150th anniversary and addressing historic and iconic landmarks of this city, the albums are at the Greater Victoria Public Library and the City Hall archives.

Exhibition continues until June 30th.
Gallery hours are Saturdays & Sundays, 12-4pm.
