Miles Giesbrecht at Xchanges gallery

Miles Giesbrecht is a busy father of two who is interested in society and culture. He floats between embracing technology and becoming a hobbit. His ultimate daydream is a combination of the two.

As an artist, his practice focuses on comic books, writing, photo, and video. He is an experienced videographer, and is working on being an experienced animator.

After surfing in Hawaii for a couple of years he moved to Vancouver and graduated from Vancouver Film school in 1994. After working for several years in the film industry in Vancouver, he completed the 2 year Studio Arts diploma program at Capilano College in North Van. He currently works as the technician at Open Space Artist run center in Victoria.
