Born in Saskatoon Sask. 1956, Morley grew up near Medicine Hat Alberta.
A background in humanities and trades has given him a foundation as a self
taught sculptor to express his understanding and appreciation for the depth
and strength of human emotion.
Carving in wood and stone as well as casting in bronze are excellent mediums
for the solid grounded quality of his archetypal images, expressing the most
elemental of emotions and life stories. Inspired in part by the simplicity
of primitive and aboriginal sculpture; it's power to transform the stories
of a culture as well as the complexity and joy of form of Picasso, Moore and
Morley has shown extensively for the past 20 plus years. Currently showing
with Granville Fine Art in Vancouver, BC., Madrona Gallery in Victoria, BC.,
Elevation Gallery in Canmore, AB, Mayberry Fine Art in Winnipeg, Manitoba,
Steffich Fine Art on Salt Spring Island BC.
