Debora Alanna – October 2011 – Artist of the Month

“My sensibilities are founded in the unconcealed world that has dimensions to be discovered. Disparate thoughts can suggest possibilities I love to explore. Feeling the depths of multidimensionality, intangibilities of space and time are the realms of my sculptural practice. Challenging conventional thoughts about material use, I am dedicated to sculpture.”

Debora Alanna graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Experimental Art. Known for her installation work and sculpture she has held solo exhibitions in Kazakhstan, Italy, France, India, and Canada, and has been included in notable group shows in 5 continents. Debora served as a board member for several regional, national and intercontinental cultural and research organizations. Next February, she will again be teaching “Considering 3D” at Royal Roads University Continuing Studies by invitation. Debora contributes regularly to Exhibit-v “Write-Ups.
